Why sealcoat an asphalt driveway?
Here in Michigan we are use to the harsh elements our asphalt properties can be exposed to. Oxidation from the sun, rain, snow and freeze and thaw cycles all play a large part in deteriorating our asphalt. All of those element changes effects the binders that hold your asphalt together. Eventually without sealcoating, an asphalt driveway will deteriorate until it completely fails. Sealcoating slows this process and extends the life of your driveway saving you thousands of dollars in repair cost down the line.
Most frequently asked questions:

Will you repair the existing cracks before applying sealer?
It is very important to repair the large existing cracks before you sealcoat. Open cracks leave room for water, oil and other common chemicals to seep in and further break apart the binders that hold your asphalt together. We use a hot commercial-grade crackfiller to seal off cracks to prevent continuing erosion.
When can you start the job?
We know here in Michigan we can experience all 4 seasons in one day. The weather is the biggest factor in when we can complete the job. We will complete the job when there is no threat of rain for 24 hours. This ensures that the product will have ample time to completely cure and give you the best outcome.
How long do I have to stay off the driveway?
Once the job is completed, we recommend you stay off of the driveway for 24 hours.
